Polypor Porous Products offers a line of standard sheet products in a variety of materials, thickness and grades suitable for a wide range of applications.
Polypor is offered in extra fine, fine, medium and coarse grades. The sheet grades in this product line have an average pore size in the 7-150 microns range with void volumes of 35 to 50 %
For this purpose, fine-pored plates made from Polypor Porous Plastic with a pore size of 20-40 micron and thickness of 5mm- 25mm (preferably 10mm) have proved successfully.

Air is pumped through these into the powdered solids and the powder becomes fluidized.
Polypor is a porous plastic, fluidizing membrane, which has been developed in India in micro porous technology. It offers considerable advantages over other fluidizing media such as sintered metal, ceramics canvas and fireboard for all applications which require a working temperature between minus 70

Polypor Porous Plastic has a number of advantages over elements produced from other materials. It is uniform, lightweight, durable, hygienic material. Compared with fabrics they have a smooth, fine - pored surface. As a result, powder /wall friction is very low. Even fine bulk solids hardly adhere at all. Powder penetration into the sintered plates is prevented by the through -flow of air. It can be fabricated to form cones and panels of virtually any size. It is available in a range of permeability and thickness to suit the many different powders and fluidizing systems.

Polypor Porous Plastic sheets material are widely used for filtering, diffusing, venting wicking, fluidizing, air conveying and as membrane supports.

Specific applications include chromatography supports, Ion Exchange resign support, battery flame assertors, fluidized bed air pads, and reservoirs for liquids.
